Because if I don't post this, I won't do it

US Navy 090329-N-2959L-169 Athletes race to the water to begin the swim portion of the 31st annual Superfrog Triathlon at Silver Strand State Beach

Bizarre du jour: Okay, so you probably already know that the Wikihow site can be a bit odd at times. They offer articles like "How to be more popular" or "What to do when the airplane is on fire and the pilots have developed amnesia and can't remember how to land" (or something very close to that). So it's always a good idea to take their posts with a grain of salt, if not a whole shot of tequila. Even so, this one has me stumped: How to make people think you're immortal. I mean... why?

Inappropriate quote du jour: Feeling guilty has never burned a single calorie. - John Tesh

Bah. What does John Tesh know.

This blog is all about guilt.

Well, okay, it's all about getting me to get out there and exercise, but guilt plays a huge part in that. So I'm posting this up here to make me get out there and run today. There are people running under far worse conditions.

Exercise du jour: Jog 3 miles
Done! Finally. A good run. Rain, shmain.

Man, that Chilean miner who trained for a marathon while trapped underground REALLY makes the rest of us look bad, lol!
I'm teaching two hours of Pilates today. If I weren't, I'd probably glue myself to the couch.
So guilt and responsibility: 2 powerful motivational tools!

The weather for the Pacific NW will be the same for some days ahead...rain. Living it. I'll walk indoors on the treadmill. Kudos to you for making the plan to jog out there. Go get em!

Quack! Quack, quack, quack!

Rough translation: You go girl, the rain doesn't stop us!

You know what I always say: If John Tesh says it, it must be true.

Sorry... didn't mean to be dissing your mentor...

Of course guilt burns calories. It keeps moms up and pacing at night. Unfortunately, that means we also eat more. So it cancels it out.

Running in the rain, eh? Good for you.

Did you have to post that you actually did your exercises and didn't let the rain stop you? You're making the rest of us ("us" being me) feel guilty. :)

I clicked over to the "immortal" article -- that piece just has "why" written all over it.

Thanks for the b-day well-wishing.

Yes, Gina, I thought of you when I was jogging. Picturing you jogging too!

Julie, thanks!

MessyMimi, I did refrain from singing in the rain while jogging :)

I did some shopping after working on my "find a parking spot close to the store or near cover" skills. The rain was a little too heavy to walk in for me. Just heard we got over an inch today, with one to two more inches by tomorrow night. That is okay. I am safe and dry.

Kudos for keeping up your exercise.

Love the new blog look.

You're kicking my ass in the running stakes so far this year. Kudos! :)

Yeah, but you're kicking my butt on the frequent flyer bit, you globe trotter!
